Professional Education: Doctor of Nursing Practice, 2011 Current position held and experiences with change leadership.: Current Assistant Dean of the DNP Program at University of Colorado, College of Nursing. Also Associate Professor. ANA/CNA experience (current & past):
Please describe experience with governance, management, public speaking, and/or financial management.: Been active CNA board member for 9 years. Leadership in AANP. Have spoken nationally and internationally on NP Practice. 1) Please describe what members should know about why you seek being elected to this office or position?: I have been increasingly involved in policy and advocacy for the past 5 years. I have seen the importance of involvement with ANA at the national level in order to advance the nursing profession. I have attended the Membership Assembly as President for 2 years. 2) What priorities do you see for CNA at this time?: Safe Staffing, Workplace Violence, Decriminalization of Error 3) As a potential member of the CNA Board of Directors you have a Duty of Loyalty to CNA. That Duty of Loyalty is defined as being able to put the interests of CNA above any others.
