SIG 31 is proud to present: Extreme Risk Protection Orders in Colorado

Our guest Speaker is Rachel Dane, a staff attorney at Bridge to Justice who spearheads their Extreme Risk Protection Order Program. When someone poses a risk of harming themselves or others, an Extreme Risk Protection Order (EPRO) Removes their access to firearms for up to one year. As of April 28, 2023, mental health practitioners can file for an ERPO to address danger posed by their patient or if their patient is a child, that child's parent. Bridge to Justice has funding from the Colorado Office of Gun Violence Prevention to represent clients for free ERPO cases.
