Government Affairs & Public Policy (GAPP)

The Government Affairs and Public Policy Committee (GAPP) reviews current bills introduced in the Colorado legislature and drives public policy pertinent to nursing and professional issues. GAPP Committee also informs efforts to revise or review the State of Colorado Nurse Practice Act. GAPP chairs are listed here.

The GAPP Committee currently meets twice per month on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month. (In the summer months, they only meet on the 2nd Wednesday of the month.)

All meetings are held at the Colorado Nurses Association building at 2851 S Parker Rd, Aurora, CO 80231, Suite 1210, and are open to all members. Conference call in is also available to members and the call in number is available by contacting [email protected].

To Join GAPP:

• Current CNA members can attend the meeting at CNA headquarters.
• Once they attend 3 meetings they will be considered for GAPP Committee membership and a commitment form is signed.
• Students: limited space requires us to limit reservations to five students per meeting. Please contact [email protected] to request a seat at the meeting.
