October 23, 2019 DORA Rulemaking Implementation of Substance Use Disorder Training

The Department of Regulatory Agencies - Nursing and Nurse Aides will be holding a rulemaking hearing on Wednesday, October 23rd, 2019, 9:15 am on rules regarding Implementation of SB19-228. The hearing will be held at: 1560 Broadway, Conference Room 100C, Denver CO 80202.

The purpose of this rulemaking is: 

 

To implement Colorado Senate Bill 19-228, the Board of Nursing must adopt rules that will require advanced practice nurses with prescriptive authority to complete up to four hours of substance use disorder training as a condition of renewal, reactivation, or reinstating licensure. The proposed revisions are in current Chapter 25 and added Rule 1.25, which are being filed with this Notice. 

The Permanent Rulemaking Hearing will be held on October 23, 2019, at 9:15 a.m. at 1560 Broadway, Conference Room 100C (first floor), Denver, CO 80202. If you believe there will be a significant negative impact on small business, job creation or economic competitiveness, you may request that the Department of Regulatory Agencies require the rulemaking agency to prepare a cost-benefit analysis of a proposed rule or amendment.
