To implement Colorado Senate Bill 19-228, the Board of Nursing must adopt rules that will require advanced practice nurses with prescriptive authority to complete up to four hours of substance use disorder training as a condition of renewal, reactivation, or reinstating licensure. The proposed revisions are in current Chapter 25 and added Rule 1.25, which are being filed with this Notice. If you believe there will be a significant negative impact on small business, job creation or economic competitiveness, you may request that the Department of Regulatory Agencies require the rulemaking agency to prepare a cost-benefit analysis of a proposed rule or amendment. This request must be made to the Department of Regulatory Agencies by Monday, September 30th, 2019.
