Legislative Update from ANA's Capitol Beat

Read this post on ANA's Capitol Beat blog to learn how nurses are advocating for change on the Hill. This summer we've seen action on workplace violence and nursing workforce development and are working toward World War II nurse cadet recognition and more. 

Highlights:  

• The House Education and Labor Committee passed the Workplace Violence and Prevention for Health Care and Social Service Workers Act (H.R. 1309) in June. 
• The House Energy and Commerce Committee unanimously passed the Title VIII Nursing Workforce Reauthorization Act (H.R. 728) in July.
