ANA Comments to OSHA: Workplace ViolenceApril 7, 2017 ANA submitted a comment letter on April 3 in response to an Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Request for Information published in the Federal Register entitled Prevention of Workplace Violence in Healthcare and Social Assistance (found here). ANA’s letter (found here) expressed support for the creation of a workplace violence prevention standard and noted that any standard must follow the recommendations laid out in ANA’s 2015 Position Statement on Bullying, Incivility and Workplace Violence and include input and participation by both employers and employees. The letter also stated that ANA looks forward to working in collaboration with OSHA and other stakeholders on the development of such a standard.
