Professional Education: Diploma, BSN, MSN Current position held and experiences with change leadership.: Retired OB/GYN Nurse Practitioner. Worked at Kaiser-Permanente for 41 years. Recognized as a nurse leader in the Department of OB-GYN. ANA/CNA experience (current & past): 45+ years of experience in CNA. Served in all offices, served as Board Member, served on multiple committees and task forces. Multiple terms as a ANA Membership Assembly Representative. Currently CNA Vice President, Chair of the Bylaws and Reference Committee, Chair of Awards Committee, and an ANA Membership Assembly Representative. Previous chair of ANA Committee on Bylaws. Please describe experience with governance, management, public speaking, and/or financial management.:
1) Please describe what members should know about why you seek being elected to this office or position?: I have a wealth of experience as a CNA Representative to ANA. Even though I have retired from practice, I am knowledgeable about the issues facing CNA/ANA. I also have the time and commitment to serve in this position. 2) What priorities do you see for CNA at this time?: Continuing to be a strong advocate for nurses and nursing in Colorado. Membership growth and membership engagement. 3) As a potential member of the CNA Board of Directors you have a Duty of Loyalty to CNA. That Duty of Loyalty is defined as being able to put the interests of CNA above any others. Please indicate if you have a real or potential Conflict of Interest personally or financially that may impact your ability to vote on select CNA business.: No conflicts. |
