Support Us In Opposing Latest Effort To Pass American Health Care Act

May 1, 2017

House Republican leadership is still fighting to line up enough votes to pass the latest version of the American Health Care Act (AHCA). We believe that they may be extremely close to garnering the support they need, and if they are successful, we could see a vote as soon as Wednesday or Thursday.

This is a critical time, and we are redoubling our outreach to urge members of Congress to oppose this dangerous bill that would put millions at risk of losing coverage.  Our latest Capitol Beat blog post includes all the details from the call to action that went out to our grassroots list—please consider sharing widely—we need all hands on deck!

We are far from alone in the fight—this  morning a coalition of leading patient advocacy organizations announced their opposition, a timely, further blow to an already unpopular bill. Expect these organizations to activate their strong grassroots operations as well.

For more information on the AHCA and our ongoing work on Health System reform:

·          Capitol Beat blog post providing further background on why the AHCA is a misguided attempt to reform the health care system.

As a valued member of CNA, you know that choosing a healthy active lifestyle is essential for you to be at your best.
