It's been a long time... 
Get together with other nurses from Southwestern Colorado and welcome Dr. Mary Ciambelli, the regional director for the Western Slope from the Colorado Nurses Association. We are inviting all nurses (current CNA member or not) to hear what Dr. Ciambelli has to say about upcoming changes that affect RNs in Colorado. The event is free of charge with complimentary food catered by the Irish Embassy. You only need to bring some $$ for drinks from the cash bar! 

Speaker Information:

Mary Ciambelli, APN, Advanced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Board Certification: Certified by the American Nurse Credentialing Center as an Adult Psychiatric Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist since 1988.

Educational Background: B.S.N. from Nazareth College in Kalamazoo Michigan. M.S. with a specialty in psychiatric mental health nursing University of Colorado, Denver, Colorado. Ph.D. in Nursing Wayne State University Detroit Michigan.

Professional Activities: Mary has served on a variety of task forces and programs affiliated with the Department of Regulatory Agencies including the Colorado Nurse Health Program, the Sunset Workgroup for the Nurse Practice Act in 2007-2008, and was appointed by the Governor to the Nurse Physician Advisory Task Force for Colorado Health Care (NPATCH). She served as the nursing co-chair of NPATCH from 2013-2014. Mary was the co-chairperson of the Governmental Affairs and Public Policy Committee for the Colorado Nurses Association from 2009-2011. She served as the President of the Colorado Nurses Association from 2011-2015. She is an elected voting representative to the American Nurses Association Membership Assembly for 2016 and 2017. Mary is an advocate for the rights of consumers and providers of mental health and substance use disorder care to have access to the resources that we all need to participate in compassionate, high quality and evidence based treatment. 

Mary enjoys skiing (Nordic and downhill); snowshoeing; hiking; biking; kayaking, canoeing, reading, spending time with family and friends. She lives in Frisco, Colorado.
