CNA Welcomes Its First 2 Affiliate Members

The Colorado Nurses Association has recently approved a new organizational Affiliate Member type and welcomes its first 2 members:

The College of Nursing prepares leaders in clinical nursing, research and community service; integrates the delivery of exemplary healthcare; discovers and translates new knowledge to improve health in Colorado and beyond.
 
The Public Health Nurse (PHN) Section is a charter within CPHA. We have a Colorado PHN membership of over 50 nurses. One PHN Section goal for 2022 is to build a more diverse and inclusive membership. CPHA PHN Section Mission: Promote healthy communities by enhancing the practice of public health nursing. Organizations that are eligible to be an Affiliate member are those that: 

  1. Are a nursing or health related organization that has a mission and purpose harmonious with CNA, has a governing body composed of a majority of registered nurses, and who meets criteria established by the CNA Board of Directors;
  2. Have been granted organizational affiliate status by the CNA Board of Directors;
  3. Have paid an organizational an annual affiliate fee of $500.00 to CNA.
  4. Shall maintain a mission and purpose harmonious with the purpose and functions of CNA.
  5. Have identified an organizational affiliate association leader (volunteer or paid) who will serve as a liaison between CNA and Association members. May be an active member of the Colorado Professional Nursing Association Coalition (CPNAC) for the purposes of advancing policy and regulatory changes in support of nursing practice.
